8th Grade Field Trip to Pittsburgh

Dear Parent or Guardian of an 8th grade student; 
     The eighth grade field trip will be a full day of activities.  Beginning at Dave and Buster's at the Waterfront, to Heinz Field and then lunch will be at the Hard Rock Cafe'.  After lunch, they go to Highmark Sports Works, Science Center Omnimax theater, and  will round out the day with a Pirates Baseball game at PNC Park. 
     Your student has been made aware of the rules and guidelines governing the trip and has agreed to abide by them.  You are reminded that participation in field trips is an earned privilege that may be revoked at any time in accordance with Hempfield Area School District policy and this contract.  The 3 Strike Policy, which was signed at the beginning of this year, has been in effect from the date on which it was signed. 
     The cost of this year's field trip will be $130.00.  A balance letter will  will be coming home showing any deductions in the total from fundraising, and the balance for your student to participate.

8:30 to 9:30         Dave and Buster's at the Waterfront--Breakfast
9:30 to 10:30       Dave and Buster's at the Waterfront--Student Receives $10.00 Power Card for fun and games
11:00 to 12:30     Tour Pittsburgh Steeler's own Heinz Field
1:00 to 2:30         Hard Rock Cafe' Pittsburgh-Lunch and show
3:00 to 4 :00        Highmark Sports Works--sports activities
4:00 to 5:00         Carnegie Science Center Omnimax Theater--featuring one of their spectacular movies, Dream Big, in IMAX                                     format.
5:30 to 10:30       Pittsburgh Pirates Game at PNC Park. Pittsburgh Pirates vs Washington Nationals
10:30                   Buses depart PNC Park--departure time dependent upon game.
11:00                   Buses arrive at WHMS
You can wear hats and sunglasses, except indoors.  Ipods, MP3 players, cameras and cell phones are permitted but WHMS is not responsible for any lost/stolen/broken items.  Cell phones can be used to contact parents/guardians after the Pirate game to arrange pickup times.
 Clothing worn is to be school appropriate.
